Aquatic Positions

We welcome ongoing interest in employment opportunities. Resumes and qualifications can be submitted at any time to aquatics@carleton.ca. Candidates will be screened and interviewed as needed throughout the term.

Please Note

Priority will be given to those with leadership qualifications, including National Lifeguard Instructors & Examiners, SFA Instructor/Examiners, and Instructor Trainers.

Fall/Winter Application for 2025-2026

All new applicants are required to attend a skills screening prior to hire Saturday September 6th @ 10:00am

This screening will involve in-water assessment of guarding, first aid/CPR skills, along with a dry on-land interview portion related to instructional programming and personal relations skills.

Additional Lifeguarding Emergency situations skills may assess if the # of participants and availability of time permits. The screening will take approx. 2-3 hours.

If your certifications and application do not meet the minimum required standards, you will be advised via email. Applicants should expect to receive a confirmation email inviting them to attend the New Staff Screening. 

Please follow up with an email to aquatics@carleton.ca if you have not heard from CU Aquatics prior to screening date … OR if you decide NOT to attend the screening.
