Ravens Hockey Camp
The Carleton Ravens Summer Hockey Camp, providing campers with a safe and structured environment that fosters learning, competition and fun on and off the ice. Please read the information below concerning structure, ages and location.
Hockey
- Coached by members of the Carleton Ravens men’s and women’s hockey teams under the supervision of Associate Coach Mark Cavallin and Head Coach Stacey Colarossi.
- Ravens players, coaches and other qualified counselors will be on and off the ice with the campers each day.

Types of Camps
Skate and Swim
- Sharpen up a couple of key life skills in a single week of camp.
- Each day they will have a swimming pool session and two on ice sessions in the morning and afternoon.
- The rest of the day will be spent on other sports activities
Please Note
All participants must bring their own skates, helmet, gloves/mits and swimming costume. Full hockey equipment is not required. It is recommended that participants bring a face mask for their helmet and knee pads.

Early/Late supervision is available as an ‘add-on’ during registration for $30/week
Early supervision runs from 7:30 – 8:30am
Late supervision runs from 4:30 – 5:30pm.
Initiation
- Designed for kids who have played one year of Fundamentals-level hockey or for those who are completely new to the game.
- Players will spend parts of the ice sessions in small groups based on general skill level and experience.
- Session instruction will focus on the main areas of skating but will also introduce stickhandling and other basic concepts.
- Players will be on the ice for one hour each morning and another hour in the afternoon.

U9, U11, U13 & U15 Hockey Camp
- During the 3 hours spent on the ice each day the camps listed below will focus on all of the vital aspects of skill development for hockey players.
- Skating, stick handling, passing and shooting will all be areas taught and practiced during the week by incorporating these skills in a wide variety of drills, games and stations.
For goalies
- On-ice, goalies will be paired with our goalie instructor for appropriate training.
- Goalies’ instruction will involve targeted small-group training as well as incorporation into stations where they will receive shots from the other players

Competitive Camps
- Run in the same format as our general hockey camps, with the same amount of ice time
- Will feature drills and concepts suitable for competitive players
Please Note
Players registering for competitive camps must have played competitive hockey during the past winter season.

Important Notes
For Camps
- A full cafeteria LUNCH IS INCLUDED with our March Break and Summer Lifesaving Camps.
- No outside food is allowed inside the dining area.
Our cafeteria has a selection of vegetarian, gluten free and Halal food options.
Our cafeteria does not use any peanut or tree nuts in their recipes, and does not purchase products with peanuts or tree nuts in the ingredient list
There is always a risk of cross-contamination due to its open kitchens and self-serve style. Hence, we advise parents of children with food allergies to communicate these allergies to us when registering.
